Therapy can make a difference

Deepen your self-awareness

Get to know yourself better—who you are, what you need, where your blind spots are, and where you want to heal.

Work through emotional roadblocks

Get support for the places where you are feeling stuck. Old patterns, like sabotaging your relationships or letting your anger get the best of you, always have room to change.

Develop tools and skills

While there are no “quick-fixes”, you can learn new ways to regulate your nervous system and more beneficial ways of responding to difficult conversations or experiences.

Build resilience and confidence

Develop the strength to face life’s challenges with courage, and cultivate a sense of trust in your ability to navigate future obstacles with greater ease.

You deserve a space where you don’t need to worry about being judged, taking care of others, or saying the “right” things

By choosing therapy, you’re giving yourself dedicated time that’s just for you—and the support of a highly trained guide

This time is entirely yours—to explore your experiences without interruption, where we focus solely on your needs and what truly matters to you. Show up better for yourself—and others.

Benefits of therapy with Monique

When you choose to work with me, you’re not just engaging in a typical therapeutic experience.

Holistic, mindfulness-based approach

In my practice, I use contemplative psychotherapy, which integrates mindfulness and compassion with traditional therapeutic practices. This approach helps you stay present with your emotions, rather than running from them. Together, we will explore not just “how” you are being challenged, but also the “why,” allowing for more profound insight and growth.

Confidential, compassionate, and non-judgmental

I create a space where you can explore the full range of your thoughts and feelings, knowing you will be met with understanding and empathy. You don’t have to worry what I’m going to think of you or what I am going to say to someone else—I care about your wellbeing, and our conversations are confidential by law!

Expertise in sexuality, intimacy, and relationships

Whether you’re exploring your own sexuality, struggling with compulsive sexual behaviors, or working to improve intimacy in a relationship, I bring specialized knowledge and a compassionate, informed perspective. My approach goes beyond surface-level solutions, helping you address the underlying dynamics of your sexual and relational life in a way that honors your individuality and desires.

Trauma-informed care

If you’ve experienced trauma, I understand the importance of moving at your pace. My trauma-informed approach ensures that therapy feels safe, supportive, and empowering. We’ll explore your past without re-traumatizing you, focusing on healing and building resilience in a way that respects your needs and boundaries.

Extensive training and experience

I’m an LPCC and I completed a rigorous three-year psychotherapy masters degree at Naropa University (most therapy degrees are only two years), with extensive training in crisis and addiction counseling. I bring experience from both group and individual therapy settings, having worked at a walk-in crisis center and a sex and porn addiction treatment center.
